July 4th in the Lehigh Valley: Coca Cola Park

To say that our Fourth of July weekend was a busy one would be an understatement.

Our weekend was jam-packed.

Now, for the past few years we have typically spent our Independence Day with my family. We would spend our day hanging out and grilling, but this year was a bit more hectic (primarily due to the fact that we actually have friends around here, which is practically a damn miracle). Between a dinner and a movie double date on Friday, a pool party and work on Saturday, hanging out with our friends by the pool grilling and swimming followed by another visit with a few of our other friends on Sunday, grilling with the family on Monday and celebrating Independence Day by going to Fourth on the Field at Coca Cola Park in the Lehigh Valley to see the fireworks with a few of our friends, we were in DIRE need of an extra weekend to recover from our weekend. 12 Months of Dates – December: Christkindlmarkt

For December’s date we stayed local and went to Bethlehem, “Christmas City Village.”

As of recently the Bethlehem Steel Stacks has been holding a Christkindlmarkt. The Bethlehem Steel Stacks hold many annual events and this one has been growing larger every year. This is where they sell ornaments, foods, homemade goods, and a variety of other gifts. They have live music, gifts, food, and other little items to buy.

12 Months of Dates – November: A Longwood Christmas

We are a bit behind, but this is was my favorite time of the year. I love decorating the tree, driving around seeing lights on the houses, the music, etc. I just love so much about it (except the busy holiday season at work. Retail Christmas=death)! Blue Mountain Ski Summit Aerial Park High Ropes Course for two!  This definitely was a new way to test my anxiety and my level of balance WHILE trying to maneuver the course. These tickets typically cost roughly $50 per person.  I purchased these tickets for two at $49 total from Groupon.
