For whatever reason, when it comes to cherry blossoms that is us.
Why do they hate me so?
This past weekend we hopped in the car, drove 90 minutes and ended up at the Horticulture Center in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. Unfortunately for us and a few thousand other people, the blossoms have yet to bloom this season. In Washington DC, however, the blossoms were holding on strong. This seems to be a common occurrence for us.
I’ve been struggling on whether to come back to blogging or just stay on blog vacation. I guess for now I will come back!
We found this great idea on Pinterest that we started this year. We grabbed an old spaghetti jar and throughout 2014 we would put pieces of paper of into the jar of the good things that happened to us. Things worth remembering and celebrating. This was a great way for us to look back and remember everything we did this year!
So here we have 2014 in review!
First and foremost we had the craziest winter in possibly a decade in the Lehigh Valley. It was the 5th snowiest winter ever recorded.
I have an obsession (far too many to actually list, but you will learn soon enough!)
They are just absolutely gorgeous and the prettiest tree ever I believe.
They make Spring almost worth enjoying…in between the sneezing, itchy eyes, and wheezing.
You can obviously find a million sites about Washington DC Cherry Blossoms and them scattered throughout the US Capitol. They kinda go hand and hand, so I won’t bore you with things you can find anywhere and everywhere.
We have been following this blog for anything to do with the US Capitol, Washington DC, and cherry blossoms. The festival (which draws nearly 2 million a year) was ending on the 13th. The prime time to visit was between the 10th-14th because these girls will only be in their prime those days. Skip to my insanity. LET’S GO MONDAY! TAKE OFF WORK! WE HAVE TO SEE ALL OF THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN WASHINGTON DC…OH AND THE US CAPITOL, BUT MAINLY THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS.
And he gave. Sometimes my insanity works and other times…
